Once in a while you have to make a list of supercars for your billionaire  fantasy collection. While I admire Jay Leno’s car collection it has always seemed a tad large to properly enjoy on a regular basis. So I’ve kept my collection to a reasonable number.

Ferrari FF

I was a Ferrari FF fan from the day it came out, which was only enhanced when I had one for a weekend in January. Practical, a stonking V12 with accompanying sonic thunder and great for long distance driving. Maranello red would be my colour choice.

Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta

The 458 was the best looking Ferrari to come along since the 355. Driving around Fiorano only made it better. The 458 Aperta perfected the V8 engine before the move to the turbo in 488. Hard folding top makes it near perfect.  Torn between California blue or canary yellow. Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta image

LaFerrari

Fell in love when a prototype pulled up beside me during my  Ferrari factory tour. Best looking of the 3 hypercars by far. Red is my colour. $3-5 million second hand.

LaFerrari

LaFerrari FXX-K

I am not usually that excited by track only versions of cars, but the FXX-K and the P1 GTR, and Sesto Elemento are exceptions to the rule. I want this car very badly. Red or blue either way I’m thrilled. $4-5 million.

LaFerrari FFXK

Ferrari F1 racing car

Never wanted one till I heard about the Ferrari clienti program where you can by ex formula one cars for $3-4 million and Ferrari stores them, fixes them and transports them to a track of your choice. Seeing all these cars in one room, replete with so much F1 history was awe inspiring. Not sure which car I’d chose but nice problem to have :).

F1 Clienti cars

McLaren

570S

The junior McLaren in the range but not in size. 5 years in business and they keep producing better and better cars. 570S would be my daily runner. Vermillion red. Bargin at $280,000.

McLaren 570S

McLaren P1

In black this is the most sinister hypercar of them all. Its what Darth Vader would drive. Best of all is its small compact size. Must have this car. $2-3 million second hand.

McLaren P1

McLaren P1 GTR

If the road going P1 is so amazing how much nuttier is a track only version. Like the FXXK Ferrari program where they keep the car and fly it wherever  you need it ( for a cost ), McLaren have their own program. A few million to be a test driver for McLaren, why the hell not. $5 million.

McLaren P1 GTR

Pagani Zonda 760

Horacio Pagani is an artist sculpting in carbon fibre and titanium. Zonda production should have ended years ago but owners keep requesting them so the latest Zonda the 760 is the badest of them all and you can get it in a manual gearbox like Lewis Hamilton. Manual box checked, two tone blue and oh yes $3 million.

Pagani Huayra

The replacement for the Zonda. Huayra tata Mayan god of wind.  This is my favourite picture of a Huayra. $3 million should squeeze another one out of Haracio.

Koenigsegg Regera

Christian von Koenigsegg is an engineering genius. The Regera has a revolutionary engine with direct drive, no gears and instant torque for close to a 1500 horsepower. The Regera is the first car in the world that operates all body closures completely automatically. The spectacle to open and close the entire car simultaneously from the remote or smartphone is a great party piece.  $2.5 million.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

The Sesto makes extensive use of carbon weighing in a just under 1000kg. Only 20 have been made and all are sold, so I will be writing an even bigger cheque for this one, but so worth it.

Jaguar cX-75

First developed by Jaguar as the next hypercar, shelved due to the financial crisis a few years ago. Resurrected as the villians car in the lastest Bond movie Spectre. Hybrid systems removed and  replaced by a Jaguar V8. Williams F1 engineering who helped with the original car were asked to construct 7 working cars for the movie. This one is going to cost $10 million or more to get in my garage, but then what are billions for :).

So that’s my fantasy collection, whats yours? Let me know.
